So I started thinking about like what it creates in me, this strong, strong reaction, right? Because it's not really like the five minutes I'm going to be late.

If I left the house late because I was screwing around and didn't give myself enough time, I might be annoyed with myself, but at least the situation would make sense.

And each time I had left a little bit earlier and the outcome of the situation still wasn't what I thought it really should be.

And I think that's kind of the part that gets us, right? Because we plan because planning is useful.

Like I'm not about to give you some message that like, oh, planning is pointless because it's not going to work out anyway.

And we should just like surrender to the universe and see where the day takes us.

That's not what I'm saying, right? I'll still be leaving early for the art class.

Planning matters, right? Thinking ahead can truly prevent like a whole lot of unnecessary problems and honestly frustration.

Our plan stops being preparation and starts becoming in our minds this guarantee.
