It's a series of stories that are meant to give us an overall picture of the state of the Jewish people during the period of the judges.

And so the previous episode we learned about Pesel Michah, that was to teach us the situation during the time of the judges, the relationship between Adam L'Makom, man towards God, where we saw idol worship.

And this story is teaching us what was going on Ben Adam L'Chavero, how man was treating man.
