On their way to war, the men of Dan steal Micha's idols and his priest, and make them their own. .

We saw the tribe of Dan struggling to find a territory of their own, and we saw that the Danites, that's the nickname for the tribe of Dan, the Danites, they scattered out a particular land called Laish in the north of Israel.
They saw that it was isolated, it was vulnerable, it was quiet, and it was ripe for the taking.
And by verse 12, uh, that's what we got up to last time, the five spies from the tribe of Dan who went there to check it out, they have now returned to their brethren back in the Beit Shemesh area, which is the portion of Dan, but now they're looking for another portion in the north.
And they are convincing the tribe of Dan to go up north, take up arms, and conquer this place called Laish.
And so 600 fighters from Dan with weapons are on their way to conquer that area.
They're going from Beit Shemesh, let's say the center of Israel, northwards, which means they're going to pass Har Ephraim, where our friend Micah is.
