What happens when our community sits down together for just 10 minutes of focused work? In this episode, I'm sharing three things that happened during one Friday night STEP Coaching session…
So idea number one, that task you've been putting off will likely be easier than you're imagining.
Now, while Alia was hosting the call, she brought along a mini project to work on during the microburst little working sessions.
And she had a stack of photos that all the family members had selected to put in the album.
Now, this particular call was set up so there would be at least three 10-minute working sessions.
And each time Aaliyah put the timer up on the screen, she worked on the album and then monitored the chat in case anyone had a question or got stuck.
After the first 10-minute microburst, Aaliyah showed how she had organized all the photos into her selected categories, and it took closer to eight minutes, way faster than she'd expected.
And then she went on to load the photos into the album during the other microbursts.
So I'm going to go ahead and embed it here on the show notes page if you want to see it.
But it was so pretty to just look at all these lovely scenes and to sit down, do your work.
And I tell you from my own experience, anytime I'm procrastinating something, if I think, you know what, let me just sit down.
What's my next 10 minute microburst? What could I do quickly? And if I just set the timer and get to work, often that thing that I've been thinking about just gets done.
And when you do that over and over again, then you pretty much stop procrastinating because you realize, oh, that actually wasn't that hard.
