Rachel DavidsonGuestKatieHostHey, y'all.
For today's episode, I got to sit down and talk with Rachel Davidson.
She is a latecomer like us, did not plan on homeschooling, kind of came to it after her kids were already in school, and...
She has just some really cool perspectives to share.
I think it's just really cool to hear about families who are seeing something for their kids that maybe worked at one time, but it's not working anymore.
And so they pivot and they make a different choice.
And that is actually amazing.
I think one of the hardest things about parenting in general, and then when you add to it the factors of education and mainstream thought with that and all the opinions that are out there and all the stereotypes that are out there and all those things.
It can be really hard to block out all the noise and to just make the decision that's best for your family.
And so one of the things I really want to do on here is to share those stories with you and to share those people with you who are out there doing it.
And I met Rachel just via Instagram, just kind of connected with her over the things that we had in common with our Our journey to homeschool and we really just kept finding things in common that were just some of them kind of random, some of them not random.
But I think you guys are going to love her as much as I did.
She and I could have probably kept talking for hours.
It's a shame that we don't live super close to each other because... we could totally fill an afternoon, you know? And on that note, I should tell you that we got on our call and we just jumped in.
And sometimes, you know, when you're meeting someone for the first time and you've only been internet friends, it can take a minute to kind of get your chemistry and get flowing and that is not what happened between rachel and i we just took off in conversation and then we're like oh wait hold on we should press record so um You know, you'll notice at the beginning that she kind of just jumps right back in when I'm like, okay, let's get back to homeschool.
I, you know, basically we had to stop and I was like, wait, let me tell you thank you for coming on and then let's record this thing.
And so you'll kind of notice at first that we're kind of done.
diving in.
Your podcast is not glitching.
It's just me glitching.
I'm not hitting record immediately.
I should have known just from following her on how easy it was going to be to chat with her.
And before I play...
I should have known how easy it was going to be to just dive right in and chat with her.
I know you guys are going to love her too.
