So I think as an industry, as a transportation industry, we've got a good bench of lawyers.

I like to think I'm one of them, but there are others too that are good.

It's a dynamic industry, a lot of regulatory issues at play.

We're going to focus on a few here in this episode.

But when you think back to your early days, what was the first big case that you had in the trucking space? What was that first issue where you realized that Or this is not just maybe a small problem inside this company, but this is actually an issue that's going to cross over many, many, many companies in this industry.

So it's independent contractor status and misclassification.

That client was of the persuasion of the rules are made by those who show up.

So they were active.

They were active within trade associations.

They were active politically.

And they encouraged me to join them and be active with them.

So my first cases, when you say my first cases, they were definitely an independent contractor at that company claiming to be an employee for whether it was work comp or unemployment or wage and hour.

In my time there, we had, I would say, We did very well.

We had one threatened class action that we killed early procedurally.

We had some good stuff and got rid of that one.

We had a couple others where some lawyers on the other side that I respect banged the door.

Uh, but we were also able to push back on those pretty quickly.
