I was thinking about it this morning and I think going into Hamnet, I was a little intimidated because when I was younger, Shakespeare kind of intimidated me.
And I think I like sort of brushed it off because it was, you know, just one of those things in like English class that you're forced to read and read when I was younger reading was hard for me although I love it like it was hard and so I felt like I resisted Shakespeare a little bit and I think coming out of seeing Hamnet and seeing the incredible performances the sets the costumes the filmmaking Chloe Zhao I'm such a big fan yeah I feel like it gave me a new perspective on Shakespeare and I know it's not about Shakespeare but like I think it opened the door to maybe rediscovering Shakespeare again, like as an adult.
The kids' performances, I mean, that's one of the only things I truly like think about when I come out of it was how good those kids were, which makes me even more excited for our interview and to share that.
When I saw the trailers, I was like, well, obviously, I'm going to love this.
I feel like my entire senior year of college, all the classes I took were very Shakespeare-centric.
I think just because of the oversaturation, I think in four different classes, we studied Hamlet.
