IVIP, Identity Visibility and Intelligence Platform, was one of the hottest acronyms to emerge from the identity market in 2025. But almost a year on, has it delivered on its promise? And more…

Matthias ReinwarthHostSo this is the, the, this is the technology or the, the vendor perspective.
What has happened on the market in the meantime? The fact that you produced an advisory note around that topic hints at vendors have taken up that.

What, what we see is that a lot of vendors position themselves under the IWIP term.

Most of these vendors have been around for long in the broader IGA space mainly, so identity governance administration.

So it's not that I would say we have seen a huge number of sort of IWIP startups emerge, and it's more that existing vendors from, from different areas as a, some, some coming from other, other parts of the, the market try to position themselves under the IWIP term or at least say, "Oh, we deliver to IWIP, we deliver IWIP." So usually don't, they don't s-say we deliver to IWIP, but they say we deliver IWIP, even while they maybe only add some, again, specific capabilities.

And for both we could question, is this really the thing we need the way it's delivered n-now? But in both areas we see a huge number of startups emerging, bringing sometimes also really new ideas, sometimes v-very overlapping and common solutions.

But for IWIP it was mostly, I would say, sometimes adding capabilities, in many cases, mostly relabeling.
