I'm a consulting partner and head of actuarial, and I'm your host for the series.

Today, we're going to focus on the important role of the MIBI within the Irish insurance industry.

And with that, I'm delighted to welcome David Fitzgerald.

David is the CEO of MIBI.

He's a highly experienced insurance professional, and he's led the MIBI since 2016.

He also serves on the supervisory board of the Council of Bureau in Brussels.

And prior to joining the MIBI, he spent around 20 years with Allianz, most recently as head of claims for the Irish business.

And prior to that, he held the role as country manager for Australia, Ireland and International Health, where he was based at the Allianz headquarters in Munich.
