Today, we're heading to sunny Harmony Cove, where Bleep Bloop's family sets off on their very first beach vacation. But after one very hungry little alien mistakes an inflatable floatie for a tasty…
[whimsical music] It was an exciting day in the alien household in the Middle of Nowhere.
She'd heard about it, of course, in the way she'd heard about traffic jams, which weren't as strawberry-flavored as expected, and window shopping, where she'd gotten into trouble for taking away the glass front of a shoe shop.
You see, the rules in the Koala Kingdom didn't really make sense to her, but Ma Alien wanted to try and fit in.
She loved her new life in the Middle of Nowhere and really wanted to get along with the neighbors.
Everyone else seemed to be packing for something called a vacation, so it was time for her to give it a try, too.
Ma Alien put three toothbrushes into a wash bag [suitcase zips] and the wash bag into a suitcase [suitcase zips].
Then she packed the fruit bowl [fruit bowl clangs], the lampshade [lampshade clangs], every cushion from the sofa, 17 toilet rolls [toilet rolls whoosh], the kitchen clock [kitchen clock clangs], the vacuum cleaner [vacuum cleaner clangs], and a cactus called Colin [cactus thuds].
Ah, just as she was wondering whether to pack the carpets, too, Uncle Alien stood in front of the bulging suitcase, shaking his head.
"Look at them, Ma Alien." It was Potato and Beans, and they appeared to be going on vacation as well.
They were zooming along the desert highway [wheels rolling] [skates clanging], wheeling a small, neat suitcase each.
Ma Alien looked back at her enormous case, which was bulging out of all control.
She unpacked the cactus and then decided to take out the toilet rolls, the clock, the vacuum cleaner, the fruit bowl, the lampshade, and the cushions as well.
Ma Alien smiled a big green smile and tucked the little wash bag under her arm [wash bag clangs].
It turned out that packing was one of the easier Koala Kingdom activities, and no doubt a vacation would be just the same.
Hmm, but where to go? Together, Uncle Alien and Ma Alien got out a large map of the Koala Kingdom [map rustles], the same map they'd used all those months ago when Bleep Bloop had gone missing.
It was stained and singed after their emergency dash from Patchwork 73210 to the Middle of Nowhere, but you could still make out all of the lands in the kingdom.
There was Sleepy Forest, of course, if you fancied a camping trip in nature, and Moonbeam Heights would make a great city break.
