As the sun began to set, Jesus turned to his twelve disciples and said, Hey disciples, let's go to the other side of the lake.
The lake was called the Sea of Galilee, and was big, and it was wide, and it was surrounded by hills.
A lot of Jesus' disciples were fishermen, so they were used to sailing boats across it.
The evening was calm, and the sky glowed orange and pink.
So pretty! Jesus, tired from all the teaching and healing, found a soft cushion in the back of the boat, laid down, and fell asleep.
He rested peacefully as the boat gently rocked back and forth on the quiet water.
He even started snoring.
Then the wind picked up.
Clouds turned gray.
The waves got higher and started slapping the sides of the boat.
Crash, boom! Suddenly, a huge storm was upon them.
The gentle lake became wild and dangerous.
Ah! said the disciples.
This storm is big.
The waves roared louder and louder.
The boat began to bounce and twist.
The disciples grabbed the ropes to the boat and held on tight.
They tried to steer the boat.
and scoop out the water with their hands.
But it was no use.
We're so scared, shouted the disciples.
