These feet were made for walking! We’d love to hear from you.
The house was packed full of people.
Some were sitting, some were standing, and some even crowded around the windows just to hear Jesus talk.
Not far away, there was a man who couldn't walk.
He was paralyzed, which means his legs didn't work at all.
We don't know his name.
Hmm, maybe I should give him a name.
Let's call him Perry.
Now, Perry did not like being paralyzed.
Nobody would.
And it made him very sad.
But there was one good thing about Perry being paralyzed: he had four really, really good friends.
Friends are important in life, by the way, one of the most important things.
And these friends, they had a good idea.
"If we can just get Perry to see this guy Jesus," they said, "maybe Jesus can unparalyze him and heal him." So they picked up Perry on his mat and carried him through the town.
[footsteps plodding] "How much did you eat today, Perry?" said one friend as they walked.
"You weigh a ton of bricks" [laughs].
"Real funny," said Perry.
They all laughed together because they were good friends.
When they got to the house, they realized there were too many people, and they couldn't get in.
But guess what? These guys didn't give up.
"Let's go to the roof," one friend said.
"Great idea," said another friend.
So they all climbed up the stairs outside the house, carrying Perry all the way up to the roof.
Then they dig a hole in the roof [saw scraping] right above Jesus.
