[upbeat music] When Jesus was 12 years old, he went on a very special trip with his family.
Every year, Mary and Joseph traveled to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover festival.
It was a very special festival.
Okay, do you remember the story of Moses taking his people out of Egypt? Well, it all started when the Israelites, God's people, were slaves in Egypt.
They had to work very hard, and the king, Pharaoh the Meanie, was very mean to them.
They prayed for help, and God sent Moses to lead them to freedom.
Now they celebrate it every year with lots of food and worship, even to this day.
Anyways, after the Passover festival was over, everyone began traveling back home to Nazareth.
There were many people traveling together, and Mary and Joseph thought Jesus was walking with friends or well-atwes.
Relatives.
Relatives.
There you go.
Yay.
[laughs] Jesus was pretty social.
He liked talking to people.
But after a whole day of walking, they realized Jesus was missing.
Oh, no. Mary and Joseph were so worried.
They quickly turned around and went back to Jerusalem to search for him.
"What are we gonna do, Joseph?" said Mary.
They looked everywhere in town and talked to everyone who they thought might know where Jesus was.
They talked to their friends, and their friends' friends, and their friends' friends' friends.
But no one had seen Jesus.
"Oh, boy," said Joseph.
But after three days, they finally found him.
Jesus just played the first game of hide and seek.
