In 2024, struggling with shortness of breath and fatigue, I went to see my primary care provider who had done scans to find fluid on my lungs and cancerous lesions on my spine.
After several biopsies and scans, I found out I had stage four breast cancer.
My first treatment was to put me into menopause because my breast cancer is hormone positive.
I have been on immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and currently on oral chemotherapy.
I received my care at Roger Maris in Perham.
This is very convenient for me as then I don't have to drive all the way to Fargo to see my providers.
This could happen every week, every two weeks.
Now I get to stay in my current hometown and be able to be cared for by exceptional staff.
