The trauma and the repercussions of violence can last for many years, decades, forever.
Yeah, so often women in that situation, there's often a pattern where they leave one abusive relationship and they might get into another one.
So obviously there's a lot of healing that needs to happen so that isn't a pattern that's repeated.
