Send us Fan Mail Katie will Be recapping her 1st week of Pumped with Coach Joe on Tonal ,why she chose to recalibrate the weight settings , and how…
So I hit the reset button on my strength assessment and recalibrated my weights, not because I was getting weaker.
I did it because I wanted the program to meet me where I was.
And meet me where I am today, right? So not where I was, but where I am today.
And sometimes in my weights, there were days where I used a lifting belt so I was able to lift heavier.
There were days where...
You know, I may have switched to move or I might have done something different.
And that kind of messes with, you know, especially with me with going into another program and I do the move and I'm like, wait, why am I not lifting as heavy? And I just wanted to hit reset.
I just really felt like it was a great time after four years and, you know, eight million pounds lifted on tonal.
I was like, let's hit restart and really restart.
So sometimes the fastest way to make progress isn't chasing those old numbers, like I said.
You know, it is being honest where you are now so you can even, you know, be even stronger.
It's kind of like when I was off for like, what, three months for my cancer stuff, I came back swinging.
And that's kind of like where I feel where I will go with this reset, right? So we'll talk about week one, how I felt, and some of the things that may have surprised me that was, I was like, okay, we're doing this.
And why recalibrating is not the setback that you think it is, and why checking your ego at the door might be one of the best things you can do for the long-term, right? Long-term muscle goals.
