Imagine a world where every decision sends a ripple, a literal echo that shapes the world... that's Echobound Adventures. In this episode Chris & Isaias from Tempest Workshop pull back the curtain on…
guy? I mean, I would say that it's a cooperative pulp adventure game.
And you're basically playing a steward, which is a multiversal explorer that's investigating strange worlds.
And we're not there to conquer the world.
We're not there to necessarily fight enemies, but we're there to explore.
get information, ask questions, and then try to help the people in those worlds.
Okay.
And these worlds are like the echoes, I'm assuming.
Are they like dimensions?
Kind of.
So it takes place in like an alternate history, 1930s.
And so in our universe, sort of, the people in the world believe that they're sort of the center and that these, that these other dimensions echo out from the center point.
And then, you know, to infinity and the farther you get from the center, the more things have deviated from, from the core sort of world that we come from.
And so things get more strange and more curious as you go out.
And so really it comes down to like in our, in the world that they live in, People don't generally know there's other dimensions.
They're part of this kind of secret society called the Penrose Society that on the outside is just sort of this like research and sort of institute for scientists and thinkers in sort of the salon era of the 1930s.
Um, but behind the scenes, uh, we know that we're part of this secret group that goes to other dimensions and learns things and then hopefully brings it back to our earth and makes things better and advances technology here.
So it's kind of like a mix, uh, of sort of a little bit of fantasy has some magic elements with sci-fi elements.
Um, I think Isaiah's coined the term, uh, deco punk.
Uh, so it's sort of this art.
So it's kind of like a little bit past steampunk, but not quite into like, you know, modern technology.
So, um, It really fits in an area that we feel is ripe for story, ripe for adventure.
You know, we wanted to kind of create a game about sort of this age of exploration, but also give a unique twist that felt fresh and exciting and kind of create a new universe and a new IP based around that.
