We're going to repeat these sessions, but this would have been the first week of February for week five or session five.
So right now in session five, what we covered in February is discipline over motivation.
But I keep under my body and bring it into subjection, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
I sure don't want to be... saying and instructing and guiding and teaching others on things that I have not done myself.
I've been in construction all my life, still am, and I've been around a lot of different leaders, superintendents, project managers, laborers, carpenters, foremen, different titles, different positions, and it's been extremely eye-opening to see the ones that speak from experience and they lead in a way where they're part of the team versus those that have the knowledge but they've never touched a hammer and they stand back and just point.
And that might work when they're on site, but when they're not there, guess what happens to the whole crew? They kind of chuckle and poke fun and maybe they slack off even, knowing that the boss is away and the boss really doesn't know how to use a shovel or a hammer anyhow.
So there's something to be said about a pastor that's lived some life and doesn't forget it, or a leader or owner of a company that remembers and still sweeps floors.
So stay humble, be humble, and remember that this is a journey, but we want to be able to speak and to teach on our own life experiences.
But if we know this is what we do, Tuesday night Zoom call, we're going to be there.
