Sefer is a short recap of the main focus we'll talk about soon but the first section of the Hakadama we saw last time we saw in this booklet we saw until until the through most of Gimel, page Gimel we're up to the last paragraph in page Gimel that's what we're up to and up to this point we're quickly I had started with a very interesting, very flowery introduction, starting with this idea that everything has every, um, everything in the world, the creation has, there's the polar extremes, and then there's something in the middle that's an intermediate.

So he gives examples, but he says between things that are fully physical and fully spiritual, there are things that are in the middle.

And then he says that when he takes us to the concept of mitzvahs, he says, although we have this bifurcation and mitzvahs between mitzvahs that are tzluyas ba'aretz, mitzvahs that are not tzluyas ba'aretz, meaning mitzvahs that have to do with the land itself and mitzvahs that are just things that people have to do regardless of where they are.

So he says, even though that categorization exists, there is an intermediate category of the Dalen Minim.

And the Dalen Minim is a mitzvah that's tied to the land because it's crops that grow on the ground.

It is celebrated at a time that we're celebrating the successful previous harvest.

And so it's connected to the land on the one hand.

On the other hand, L'maysa, we fulfill it as a chayvas gavra, as an obligation on the individual.

wherever we are in the world.

So it's this intermediate type of mitzvah between a mitzvah that's tzluya ba'aretz and a mitzvah that's not tzluya ba'aretz.

But he says it's sort of like a gateway to mitzvahs that are completely tzluya ba'aretz.

That's his basic starting point.

He says that this is why there is so much excitement and passion around the mitzvah of Esra, but specifically because it represents this bringing together of mitzvahs that are chivas haguf, on people, and mitzvahs that are tz'tluyeh ba'aretz.
