Introduction to Aruch Hashulchan Part 1

Racha Shulchan is interesting.

It's one of my absolute favorites for him.

My uncle bought me a set of Racha Shulchan and Bar Mitzvah.

And I had no idea what Racha Shulchan was and no idea what I would do with it, but it was a nice big set.

So it was like a pretty impressive gift.

And now I still have that same set, and some of the volumes are completely, the binding is completely broken off.

And, yeah.

But let me know next time he's here.

But that's just my connection to L'Arche Shulchan.

So it's meaningful to me to review this together with you and also... just to look at it from the broader picture, not just what this Sefer is about, but where it fits in, it's very, very unusual Sefer.

It's unusual, not so much like in the larger context of Halachasfar, maybe it's not shocking, but if you think about the narrower context of when it was produced, it's very, very, very unusual.

What do I mean by that? Well, we'll see.

We'll see when we get to the actual haqqadamah itself.

We'll see just how unusual it is.
