ironically somewhat cruel irony in terms of weather that actually did turn out to be a gorgeous day we had a hurricane that was just offshore so we had subsidence things could have been very different had it come further west but who knows and today skies did clear out on time as that cold front slinked off to our south now i'm gonna have a split decision of a weekend if you will so I'm going to have high pressure remaining in control.
So when you wake up tomorrow morning, some places could very well be, early Saturday morning, could very well be down in the mid-50s with the right amount of radiational cooling.
And we'll see highs reflexively jump back to the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Now, humidity will be low for most of the day, but that high is going to continue to translate east.
And we're going to have a warm front approach.
overnight and Sunday morning.
So we're looking for widespread rain and thunderstorms from about 3 a.m. to noon on Sunday.
And the Weather Prediction Center does have the region in a marginal risk, a one out of four risk for excessive rainfall.
Now, behind the warm front, we're going to pump in this very moist high dew point air mass with high precipitable water values.
And we are looking for some jet streaks aloft to contribute to the possibility of some heavy downpours.
Looking for anywhere from a half inch to two inches of rainfall.
And of course, given that this is going to be convective, some places are going to get about one and a half times that locally, up to three.
So that isolated precipitation is also not going to be, that precipitation, rather, is not going to be in a hurry to end.
It's going to become more isolated, so we'll see precipitation linger into the early evening with, again, highs either uh has a few degrees of 80 now as we go into next week second week so the third week of september and we do see fall arrive next week it's going to start out pretty quiet compared to we're what we will have had on Sunday.
