It's Sunday, October fourth, and we had a decent first half of the weekend.
Little on the, uh, little on the cooler side.
Today was cloudy, drizzly.
Had this front that was stalled to our south and this short wave that came in from the west, so we got a little wave of low pressure and just this persistent nuisance light rain.
But that'll taper off in short order, and we're looking for a very boring set of seven days.
We are not going to have a drop to drink from Mother Nature, but maybe we deserve it given what we went through with that prolonged nor'easter.
So high pressure's gonna build in, and it's gonna be there through the week.
So we're going to have gorgeous skies, and we'll see temperatures on the cooler side of normal for the first half of the week, and then we'll gradually moderate.
So for Monday, we'll still have some clouds around at the beginning of the day, but I do expect us to turn mostly sunny.
It'll be a bit breezy out of the northwest, and we'll see high temperatures a few degrees either side of seventy.
Then Monday night, got a, uh, cool night.
This is a real autumn air mass moving in.
So Monday night, in the city even, we'll probably be in the upper forties.
And you know that in places like central Suffolk, it's gonna be down potentially into the thirties or the low forties.
Now Tuesday, it'll be cooler than Monday by five to ten degrees.
We'll just get into the low sixties.
And Tuesday night, the bottom could really drop out.
We'll be in the upper forties again in the five boroughs, so haven't been this cold since last spring.
Might even throw in the word frost.
Just patchy, just a little bit on the pumpkin, but it's something worth evaluating.
Now, Wednesday, looking for sunny skies.
We'll still just be in the upper sixties, and we'll see lows in the low to mid-fifties.
Thursday, though, that high starts sliding a little to the east, so we're gonna have picture perfect skies again, but we'll have temperatures making it into the mid-seventies and lows in the mid-fifties.
And Friday, close out the work week with another day of sunshine.
