It had been, say, Thursday, Friday and yesterday, but it was still tough.
What we also didn't really have today was a widespread presence of showers and thunderstorms.
With some out and about yesterday and Friday, many areas saw one to two inches of rain with a lot of thunder and lightning with that.
that moved through in the afternoon and evening.
Now, lo and behold, that heat advisory just will not go away.
It has been extended again.
So Monday is going to be the fifth day in a row of it.
We've got that Bermuda high offshore.
We've also got a frontal system.
So humidity is going to come back up tonight as a warm front comes through.
And temperatures will be a few degrees either side of 90 tomorrow.
But it's going to feel like the mid and upper 90s, hence that heat advisory.
Now, we could see an isolated shower or storm really any time tomorrow.
after 12 o'clock.
We'll have some warm infection ahead of the frontal system.
But then we're going to watch a storm complex track towards the region, and this looks like it's going to bring widespread showers and thunderstorms from about 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Now, it will be weakening as it crosses the area, so the marginal risk for severe weather really only touches the five boroughs.
And it's likely that much of the region will wind up just seeing some garden variety complex of showers and storms or just some plain showers.
