SPOTIFY PROBLEMS - Special Announcement! :(

Hi friends, it's your old pal Jack Norton here, host of Jack Norton's Old-Time Radio Show. This is an important message just for our listeners who tune in to our podcast on Spotify. As always, our show is created, written, recorded, edited, and narrated by humans — never AI — and always will be. Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same for the Swedish robots working behind the scenes at Spotify. Yup, them pesky AI Swedes that run the show over on Spotify occasionally flag our content and remove episodes without warning and without informing us. We still have no idea why. When the happens, our weekly show doesn't appear on Spotify - and won't show up in your feed. This has become increasingly frustrating for my wife and I - as we are the sole content creators of this weekly show, and it truly is a labor of love. I want you to hear all these great old records, get your weekly dose of relaxing nostalgia, and maybe discover a new favorite song or artist. But you just won't be able to do that on a weekly basis on Spotify. Sure, some episodes appear to appease the almighty Swedish AI robot Gods, but many of our shows do not. So, can you do me a favor? Give us a listen over on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, or - well, really anywhere else you can get podcasts. If you keep on listening on Spotify, that's great and we really do appreciate you - but just realize you will definitely be missing some episodes. By the way, you can even find our show on terrestrial radio stations - we broadcast on dozens of public radio, community radio, and college radio stations here in the United States. If you have a favorite radio station that you think would be a good fit for our show, email me and we'll send 'em a pitch. My address is: [**hello@jacknortonmusic.com**](mailto:hello@jacknortonmusic.com) Finally, Kitty and I don't have an advertising budget, so let's use this soulless AI-driven platform for some good: drop a comment, rate and review our show here on Spotify. It really helps train the algorithm to share our little show with other folks looking for vintage tunes, happy memories, and good ol' 78s. So, now with all of that behind us. Allow me to say: if the good Lord's willin', and the creek don't rise: I'll see you here, there or somewhere - real soon. Take care and God bless.
