Howl at the Moon: Inside Galway Mountain Rescue

If you've ever found yourself in trouble in the mountains, on a remote trail or somewhere difficult to reach, Galway Mountain Rescue could be the team you're relying on to come and find you.

The service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

And crucially, it's made up of volunteers who give their time to help people in some of the most challenging situations.

But keeping a mountain rescue team ready to respond costs money, from specialist equipment to training, which is why fundraising is so important.

On the 26th of September, Galway Mountain Rescue is holding its annual charity fundraiser, Howl at the Moon.

And joining us to tell us all about this is volunteer Hannah Gibney.
