So we'll be starting with looking at the importance of recruitment and retention.
So often when people look at how business is growing, they go straight to the bottom line piece.
Whereas I'm absolutely, absolutely determined that we've got to start with the people.
We have to ensure that we have the people with the right skills, the right experience and the right expertise, the right people in the right place.
And then not only will you have the right skills capacity, but you are going to have people that are more likely to stay with you, which will strengthen your team as you grow.
So the need to implement the necessary processes and procedures to amplify growth.
That again, it's about that taking a step going, where do we want to position ourselves in the market? Is it realistic? And what are the most appropriate processes and procedures for us to get there? Then we'll count through to lead generation and sales conversion.
So it's how you can grow the revenue without losing control of the margins, the cash flow or the cost drivers.
And it is about that whole point that turnover is vanity, profit is reality because yes, you can grow revenue, but if you've got more going out than you've got coming in, then No matter how much money you've got coming in, you are never going to grow.
And then so how do you capture that? The need to utilize metrics, ensuring continual monitoring and evaluation, not just An annual appraisal or your finance director delivering a report once in a while.
Actually continue monitoring and evaluation that goes into the future to set those markers, benchmarks, so you know where you're going.
So the three things that in my work with businesses that I found is that a company grows when three things scale together.
So the complexity of the business, the capability of the people, and the structure of the organization and the decision-making systems that are within that.
Most organizations, when I work with them, fail because one of these points grows faster than the other.
The complexity of the business develops, but the capability of the people doesn't develop with them.
Or you may have the complexity and the capabilities of people, but then the structure and designate are still the old structures that you had before.
The amount of times that I go into organizations and I speak to them about people and they go, oh yeah, we're currently recruiting for this specific role.
