Now, what I've been hearing out there a lot is, you know, the difference between investing versus trading.
Which fits you? Like, what is the best for you? Now, we'll talk a little bit about long-term investing compared with active trading.
You have different types of trading, like swing trading, your quote-unquote day trading.
People wonder, do I have the time? Do I have to risk everything? Well, obviously, you don't have to do that stuff, and you have the time.
And another question is, well, why – do I have to watch my chart all day to participate in the market? So let's discuss some of these topics here.
Now, the difference between long-term investing and active trading, it's really based off your goal or objective.
Now, to find out what fits you, you really do have to figure out what are you looking to accomplish with the markets? Now, for example, if say you're a person that is looking to build longer term wealth for you and your family, that would be considered more of investing.
Because that means you buy it, and the definition would be buy an asset or assets and hold them for several years.
But that's not always the case because buying and holding with no plan of gain or loss is just hope.
Remember we talked about in the last segment where you have to get in your positions, but also you have to get out of your positions at one point as well.
And then that's really how you manage your risk as well, because that's a key component to investing in trading, whether it's short or long-term, it's managing your risk the right way.
So your longer term investing would be holding an asset with a longer period of time than just a few days or a few weeks.
Active trading would be for the plan for income, which we typically talk about on the show here each and every week is income style strategies.
