stands for? yeah the scars model it stands for surrender so you're surrendering to you know whether it's a higher power whether it's to god i believe it's to jesus christ um but you're also surrendering what it's been doing for you the underneath stuff right i think it's the way that the way it's been comforting you and why you're coping with it you're surrendering the pain the hurt the grief the anger all the things that are um and you're acknowledging them as part of that surrender process and then the second step is confession so you're telling someone you need to tell confession can be through a counselor it could be through a coach it could be through a friend or a church member you're basically letting somebody else into the light or into in your dark place right to say this is my struggle this is what's happening the third step is accountability you're taking that confession and hopefully entering into some type of support system, a support group, which we have at She Recovery, where you're being held accountable for your behavior and your actions and not just behavior, but like, how are you doing? Like, how's your heart right now? What are you doing to cope? What are you doing to deal with The hurt, and at that point it could be, are you going to counseling? Are you getting the deeper help that you need? And then responsibility is the R of the scars, and that's making amends.

It's taking responsibility for how your behaviors have affected other people, but also how they've affected you, the things that's held you back from.

But possibly even relinquishing responsibility because you have a lot of women who have trauma backgrounds, trauma stories of abuse that are carrying responsibility for that having happened to them.

And then the last step is kind of what I'm doing, although not so much publicly, I wouldn't suggest it.

um is to share your story take take what you've learned take the experiences that you've had and and share and share it with another woman so that maybe she needs to hear your story maybe you are her gift of going second the way that my friend was to me um and so that's what it stands for surrender confession accountability responsibility and sharing
