Instant Iowa: Iowa STOMPS Washington 41-24! Is Jeremy Heklinski the New QB1?

Oh, buddy, I'm doing great.

You know, it's it's I realize like literally as soon as my eyes opened this morning, I realized.

Hey, the Hawks already won.

I can just enjoy the Saturday.

We've got a bye week next week.

We have like 14, 15 days to just kind of soak in what we've seen the first half of the season, how we feel moving forward here.

And to get that out of the way, to get that monkey off the back and to get a performance that gives us a lot to talk about here is just fantastic.

Yeah, I can't wait to just sit back and watch the games today.

And we can do it again next week, too.

And we'll be sitting there at 5-1 and 2-1 in conference play the entire time before the Hawkeyes return to action two weeks from today at Minnesota in what could be a ranked-on-ranked matchup if Minnesota takes care of business today against Purdue.

AD, we actually debated.

going live at halftime.

We did.

For Instant Iowa.

And I think we made the right decision in kind of pulling it back because there were some things to discuss from that second half, and who knows what can happen.

I remember how great we were feeling early on in that USC game last year when Iowa seemed to be pulling out all the tricks and offense was rolling, and then we saw how that turned out.

But I want to make my opening argument with Schwebel-Getz.

and Steven, the personal injury powerhouse.

And my opening statement is something we are going to be discussing and debating for the next two weeks.

But I believe that Jeremy Heklinski needs to be the starter moving forward.

And this is not as much on Hank Brown and what he's done.

This is more about how this offense looks.

Sometimes, AD, you get Wally pipped.

And Jeremy Heklinski went in there and the entire offense looked different.

And you could say, well, yeah, but he had the running game.
