Before we jump into today's episode, I want to share something new that I have been working on behind the scenes for a while, and I'm really excited to finally launch it.
Over the past several months, I've been doing a lot of additional education and training around hair tissue mineral analysis, or HTMA, because minerals are one of those foundational pieces of health that I think are massively overlooked, especially for midlife women.
So I am opening up a small HTMA pilot program for listeners who want to go a little deeper into understanding what is actually going on in their body.
If you've never heard of HTMA before, it's a lab test that analyzes the minerals stored in your hair tissue.
What's interesting about that is it gives us a picture of your mineral balance, stress patterns, and metabolic trends over the past few months.
And one of the reasons I love this test is because it can show things that standard blood tests often miss.
Blood tests are great for certain things, but your body works really hard to keep blood minerals within a very tight range because those minerals are critical for survival.
HTMA gives us a different window into what your body has really been burning through over time.
And some of the patterns we commonly see in women in their 40s and 50s are things like low magnesium and potassium from chronic stress, elevated calcium patterns that can reflect a slower metabolism or burnout, copper and zinc imbalances that can affect mood, hormones, and energy, and mineral ratios that sometimes point to nervous systems, stress, or blood sugar instability.
So instead of guessing or trying the latest supplement trend that you saw on TikTok, this test can actually give us a much clearer roadmap.
If you participate in the pilot program, you'll receive the HTMA test kit, and then we'll walk through your results together.
And the goal is that you walk away with a personalized protocol for nutrition, lifestyle habits, and targeted supplements so you can support your body in a way that's actually aligned with your mineral patterns.
Because the truth is, midlife health is incredibly individual, and the more we can personalize it, the more powerful those changes can be.
If you're curious about it, just shoot me an email at Michelle, that's M-I-C-H-E-L-L-E, @theinspiredwellnesscoach.com. You can also find that in the show notes.
