Jasper CalcaraGuestLinda VoHostJasper, tell me about your story and, you know, how did you get to where you are today? Because so many high performers achieve so much success, but behind it all, there's that hidden, yeah.

So for me, I was raised in a very creative family of musicians, but financially, it wasn't very stable.

I used to tell people when I was a kid that I'm going to be an engineer, I'm going to buildings and bridges and then I and I was hyper focused on wanting to have stability the things that drove me early on and I think a lot of people are driven by need based on their childhood and other people are driven by other other pressures internally or externally so I navigated childhood with this singular vision of like I want to get into a good school and I worked my way up and was able to do so Kind of my story starts with crossing the Golden Gate Bridge every week and building this dream of working on it one day and staring across the bay to the Berkeley campus in San Francisco Bay Area.

And eventually I did go to school there and I did build a career and I worked on the bridge for over 20 years.

So I was able to accomplish these dreams because I was so driven, but it came at a cost.

And I think so many driven people eventually pay that cost one way or another.
So, you know, you, you built an incredible career and you reached the top of the industry.
Why do you think success hides all that, the pain and all the things that you had to go through? Like, and do you think the drive is from like a something trauma or I don't know, because everyone has their own story when they're growing up.
And a lot of people have that drive because it's their why maybe like you said, they could have grown up poor or, you know, had a Like they wanted things that, I don't know, so many different stories over here.
But do you think that success hides all that pain and all that trauma underneath? Is that what we're hiding from?

I think a lot of people wear armor or mask or a costume of some sort because they're trying to project to the world they're stronger than they feel inside.
