Inside Deal host Sam Schneider revisits standout moments from the show's first eight episodes, featuring investors, entrepreneurs, and deal makers who share the frameworks and instincts that shaped…
Sam SchneiderHostThis is the most interesting part, I think, of my career is I made that pivot.
I started a company called N2 Realty with my brother at the time, and it failed, right? And so fast forward of why it failed, but it was a bad timing and all that kind of stuff.
But I made a big decision where I pivoted away from a really great opportunity that could have been forever.
And my first big time on my own, I'm like, I'm ready to go.
And within 18 months, the company failed.
And that was a huge hit to like my understanding of myself.
Was this the right decision? Was it not right decision? And it was, I learned a lot from it, but it was a huge change.
And I think so many people think your trajectory is like this.
And I've never seen it that way for myself or most people that I know.

And then hopefully you land up in a place where you're sort of gradually growing.
But I had some serious speed bumps along the way.
Life is going to continually throw things at you and you have to figure out, you know, how to adapt, how to think about them.
You know, and in business, you know, things can come across that look like opportunities that aren't.
And then some are obstacles that are opportunities and you have to turn them.
You got to capitalize on them when they happen.
And he keeps saying this phrase all over and over again.
He's like, not all moments in life are the same.
They all don't have the same value.
And if I heard that as a younger entrepreneur, I would have panned that as like, oh, that just sounds like a phrase that sounds good.
But I think it's really true.
On a personal side and on the business side, not all moments have the same value.
And there are certain moments where...
And if you've thought deeply or you have the backup or you have the industry experience or the relationships or even on the personal side, if you've kind of brought yourself to a moment, then you're prepared.
