For the rest of you who are not my children, guess what? We are really going to dig into very quickly the importance of rest.

And by way of like making sure that you know that I see you, I want to tell you when I first started getting into meditation in my early 30s, I would go to whether it was like a class, a retreat, or even like my meditation teacher training.

And I would hear things like, your true essence lies in stillness, or you'll find your highest purpose when you come into stillness, when you slow down and things like that.

I would really feel irritated when I heard things like that because I wasn't really comfortable in stillness back then.

Sometimes just resting or just being seated in like, you know, a meditative pose just felt really, really unsafe, but it didn't necessarily have the language for it.

So I would say things like I'm bad at meditation or I don't like slow yoga or, you know, things like that.
