Episode 499: Eggplant Capri Sun

Hey, Steve.

It's been a minute.

It certainly has.

We have both had birthdays since the last time we recorded.

Okay, so it's been two weeks.

Yeah, at least

two

weeks.

I know one of those weeks was my tech week, so everything just kind of blurs together.

Last week was a long week for me.

I was going to say roughly the same.

Because we're recording on a Tuesday right now.

The last two weeks have been a blur for me as well.

It's all been training.

And such.

Training or training?

Training.

I mean, it's nothing I'm unaccustomed to, but the systems are all new, right? So it's like getting used to driving a different car, you know? I know how to drive a car, but I need to learn where the windshield wiper lever is and that kind of stuff.

Except far more complicated than that.

A million years ago, at my very first job, my boss realized that I had some sort of a natural talent, and for some reason, a desire to keep working in restaurants.

And he took me aside and he said, Randall, you could be really good at this, and you could go far if you could just learn to keep your mouth shut.

Steve's life's been busy.

I've had all of these professional changes going on.

So, yeah, we have a fair amount to catch up on.
