09 All Hail King Jesus

So All Hail King Jesus is written by Jeremy Riddle, and it was a Bethel music song, like 2017 is about when it is.

I personally was not familiar with it until I, you know, very, like very recently, probably 2023 or 24 about that time.

I was not, I was not familiar with it, but so if you listen to the song or, you know, the song it's, it's the transition from this is me geeking out a bit.

So it's the transition from the first verse to the second verse is, um, there was a moment when the sky lit up, a flash of light was breaking through when all was lost.

He crossed eternity.

The king of life was on the move.

Me just saying those lyrics.

You're like, yeah, that's, that's powerful, but no, you have to listen to the song.

It's, Overall, the entire song is about the death and resurrection of Jesus, if you think about it.

The very beginning is the sadness.

It's the darkness.

It talks about the moment when the lights went out, death had claimed its victory.

The king of love had given up his life, the darkest day in history.

There on the cross they made for sinners, for every curse his blood atoned.

One final breath and it was finished, but not the end we could have known.

So it sets you up for that.

It feels more like a release.

This just sort of like honorable praise chorus into the...

I don't know why it is about that second verse.

It gets me every time.

if you listen to it, it feels very much like, like dark and it starts down here and like kind of goes up and then it keeps you up the entire time.

And it just, I just love it so much.

Me too.

Because another piece of it, I think it's kind of like a sub-chorus.

It's like, for in a dark, cold tomb where our Lord was laid, one miraculous breath and we're forever changed.
