[upbeat music] Welcome back to In a Glimpse, a podcast where we talk about the emotion of awe and its relationship to design.

Darryl is a cultural omnivore and communications executive originally from the Northwest and now living in New York City.

Darryl has run his own consulting firm for the past decade, working primarily with nonprofits on everything from new visual identities and websites to audience development and editorial strategies.

Darryl sits on the board of Soho Rep, a leading independent theater in New York City, and advises NYU's Ethics and Journalism Initiative.

I'm so excited to chat with you today about all things awe, design, and technology.

I think that you're gonna bring a really great perspective, being a communications executive, to this conversation, and I'd love to just start there with your profession and your creative career.

You've described yourself as being connective tissue towards helping bridge organizations from what they are to what they could become, and helping to build the systems that enable them to get there.

So I'm curious to start out by asking you, with your experiences, what have you observed about collective mindsets within organizations when you're seeking to enhance their collaboration?
