In today’s episode, I talk to the older version of myself that’s really struggling, feeling really bad, anxious, overwhelmed and unhealthy. The version of me back in 2021 that was still drinking way…

This is what I would say to myself all those years that was struggling so much.

You really are, you really are g- staying stuck because you're weighing yourself.

When you weigh yourself, all that weighing is making you obsessed about what you weigh.

Instead of getting obsessed about what you weigh, get obsessed about getting healthy.

Obsessing about that number on the scales is making you feel fat, big Overweight, it's making you feel like a failure.

It's making you feel like any attempt at habits that you are doing is pointless and that they're not working.

Why are you thinking that five days of attempting to be a little bit healthy is all of a sudden gonna show any results on the scales in the first place? And don't get me started on the fact that the weighing scales is an inaccurate measuring tool anyway.

The weighing scales can't tell the difference between muscle or fat, so why the hell are you even using it as a measuring tool? You're obsessing about what you weigh, but you're not obsessing about reducing the stress and overwhelm that's causing you to overeat.

You're obsessing about what you weigh, but you're not obsessing about the fact that you're drinking too much alcohol and you're feeling really anxious and bad at the weekends.

You're obsessing about what you weigh, but you're not obsessing about taking care of your mental health or talking kindly to yourself.

What have you got to lose? You're not gonna all of a sudden blow up in weight because you're not tracking it.

What the fuck do you need to know more about food? What is there to know more when you're getting fit and healthy? You're not an athlete.

So what the fuck are you at trying to obsess about rye bread and spelt bread and different types of, different types of this and that and lunch meals and recipe ideas? What are you at? If you can't have three healthy meals, if you're struggling to even have three proper meals with protein in it, then stop trying to be more detailed than that.

Eat three healthy meals, and if you can't do that, then you know what you've gotta focus on, the fact that you can't eat three healthy meals and just dig a bit deep into that and why is that.

Why are you skipping meals? Why are you eating so little during the day and then eating like an elephant at night? You are cramming your face full of food from the second you get home at dinner.
