So you're listening to this and you want to get fit, feel great in your clothes, but you're stuck in a cycle of using the weighing scales and being obsessed with food.

I was always that type of person that the best shape I was ever in was somebody that was just about fitting okay into their clothes.

I was always kind of borderline bloated, puffy, just almost getting overweight if I wasn't overweight.

and it was something that I thought I would kind of struggle with for the rest of my life that there'd be a couple of days every few months where I think I'd feel and look good but the rest of the time was spent trying to get there.

I would spend genuinely every single Monday just in a ball of anxiety and a ball of feeling really guilty and shameful and here I go again about the weekend and what had gone before it.

And I think I only really felt like I was getting on top of things on a Thursday.

When I say on top of things, I'm talking about my clothes and my fitness and my food.

And I think diet culture has an awful lot to blame for this because it keeps you so blinkered into all the wrong things and it keeps you measuring all the wrong things and obsessing about all the wrong things.

And when you're obsessing about all the wrong things, you don't have time to look at the things that actually really do work and really move the needle.

And you know, I meet a lot of women who say it gets so much harder when you get older.

But if you've never really been in great shape It's not necessarily harder as you get older.

because maybe you'll go from doing the things that haven't been working for you to finally in your 50s or your 40s or your 60s, realizing that actually there's another way for you to do this.

That's absolutely working for you and you getting into the best shape of your life in your 60s or your 50s or your 40s or even your 70s.

So I want you to know that if you are going around in circles now and you're going through perimenopause or menopause, you're getting older as we all are, that this doesn't mean on top of you already struggling that things are gonna get even tougher.

I'm gonna share with you a different way of doing things, and in that different way of doing things, I'm gonna show you how so much more enjoyable it can be, how much more fun it can be.

For many years, I tracked my weight, the weighing scales, and I used that as my marker of my progress.
