You know what to do. So why do you keep ending up back in the same place? For years, my answer was simple: Try harder. Work harder. Be more disciplined. It never worked. In this episode, we're…

But anyway, let's get on with the show.I know what to do, so why am I not doing it? I am going to chat to you around a few reasons why you might be feeling stuck, that you're thinking, "I know exactly what to fucking do.

Why am I not doing it?" I was stuck in that very same place for many, many years.

From the age of 22, about the age of 42, I have been yo-yoing up and down weight-wise and health-wise all that time.

It's only been since, roughly speaking, about 2022 that I actually got off that train and got fit and healthy, and one of the reasons why I love to come on this podcast, it's to help women just like me get fit and get healthy and feel really good about themselves, um, at that point in their lives where they're done.

They might be done with alcohol, done with overeating, done with fucking not showing up to their workouts, but they're at that critical point where you're done.

That's the name of this podcast, I'm Done, Now What? And that's the same as this episode.

You know what to do, so why are you not doing it? You're done with being stuck.

You're fucking done of saying you're gonna do the same shit over and over and over again.

At my worst, puffy skin, red face, bloated stomach, drinking too much at weekends, eating too much, restricting too much, obsessed with food, feeling really anxious, feeling really down, very little social life.

I would always isolate myself, worked too much, pre-stone overweight, very inconsistent with my workouts, and when I did do my workouts, it was just a box-ticking exercise.

I couldn't stand the sight of myself, but the distance between where I was and where I wanted to be, it just seemed impossible.

I felt back then that I was doing everything to get into shape, and nothing was working.

I thought getting into shape was the hardest thing you could possibly do until I realized I was doing the whole thing fucking backwards, and getting obsessed about food and weighing yourself is never gonna get you where you want to get long-term.

If you wanna stay in that culture, 'cause it is a kind of a cult-like culture where you're complaining about the weight gain and that your hormones have changed and your body's not gonna be the same and you need to just...

Then you've gotta stay there and enjoy it, but if you really are like me, you just, you can't do it anymore, you can get fit and healthy without all that, without all that stuff at all.
