Welcome to Hyperdice.
This is our first video on a brand new channel where we're gonna be playing Star Wars tabletop RPG games.
I've played games like Dungeons and Dragons for the last decade or so as well, and for a long time I thought it would be fun to run a Star Wars game myself.
But I kept not doing it because I'd never done a production on that scale, and I'd never actually run a game before.
Last year I just decided to do a test session with some friends to see how it went.
I immediately fell in love with it and decided, screw it, let's just make the thing, learn by doing, and put it out.
It evolved into me hiring friends to create character art and graphics and write theme music.
We wound up making eight episodes and we're already working on more campaigns and one-shots.
I may have gone a little overboard for our initial season.
I'm telling you all of this because there are probably some things I would've covered in more detail at the table if I knew this was gonna go beyond a simple test.
First, I would love to hear your feedback on this episode and throughout the season.
As a first time GM, I would of course like to learn and improve for future campaigns.
We're also learning about how to best record something like this.
You're gonna see our setup and video and audio quality improve over the next eight weeks, but I'm always happy to learn more.
