John MacDonaldHostMrs. Huggin? Yes? We're going to attempt to record your life story.
I'm afraid it might take us a long time.
I hope you're ready for several sessions.
I think
it will be most interesting.
I'm sure that those who come after would be most interested to go right back to the beginning and find out about your birth in England, your family, and your working life there.
I
had a very happy time as a child in Portavis.
My two brothers and my sister.
My sister Dolly.
She was so tiny, so small.
A lovely girl.
She died with tuberculosis, but we'll pass that over and we'll go back to my life as a child.
Could we have your year of birth so that those who come there...
Well, I'm 90 in next year.
So it will be 18.
88? No, it's
been 89,
isn't it? About
1889.
Must have been 1889, because I'm 19 next year, the 10th of March.
The 10th of March was my birthday.
I would say perhaps that trying to recall something that was worthwhile I will talk about first meeting my grandmother from New Zealand.
We had often talked about her, but that was my father's mother, but we had never met her.
