The Hustle Behind The Ortus Club with Jamie Aclan | Hustleshare Ep 387

What does leadership look like when you're still figuring things out yourself? At just 28 years old, Jamie Aclan shares honest lessons on ambition, accountability, and learning to push through setbacks and self-doubt. Sometimes, growth starts with saying yes before you feel 100% ready. The conversation also dives into leadership beyond titles and job descriptions. By helping people understand the "why" behind the work, great leaders build trust, encourage ownership, and create space for others to grow with confidence. 00:01:06 - Jamie’s “Just Do It Scared” philosophy 00:03:27 - What The Ortus Club really does beyond events 00:07:07 - Growing up in Washington and the lemonade stand hustle 00:12:15 - First major mistakes and learning through failure 00:17:52 - “I Just Never Thought I Couldn’t” and Lightning McQueen 00:26:02 - Learning every department to become a leader 00:33:38 - The journey from employee to company leader 00:36:11 - Leadership challenges and lessons during COVID 00:38:28 - Learning the difference between founders and employees 00:40:59 - Serving global clients through premium event experiences 00:43:19 - Building a global network of suppliers and venues 00:46:41 - Combining AI and human relationships to grow 00:57:25 - Coaching employees through structure and context 01:00:11 - Using personality assessments and team chemistry 01:03:34 - Turning an internal problem into a business opportunity 01:06:49 - “Just Do It Scared” explained 01:08:22 - How to connect with Jamie and The Ortus Club Follow now and never miss an episode. 🎧 💡Follow Hustleshare on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@hustlesharepodcast 💡Follow Hustleshare Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6fPsNbi8m8mCIyGZH1YGm1?si=2c67a0451949498b 💡Follow Hustleshare on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/ph/podcast/hustleshare 💡Visit Hustleshare Website: https://www.hustleshare.com/ Build your empire—subscribe and hit the bell for a new masterclass every Monday! 🚀 Watch more episodes of HUSTLESHARE: // Subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@hustlesharepodcast and follow Founders Only on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@foundersonlypodcast // Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/76aB39CuQ2nEKXgaS2O3rY // Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/founders-only/id1651692553 Connect with HUSTLESHARE: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/hustleshare/ | Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hustlesharepodcast | TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@hustlesharepodcast | LinkedIn: https://ph.linkedin.com/showcase/founders-only/ | Squarespace: https://wolf-triceratops-l4zp.squarespace.com/config/pages/5c6e992371c10b1f023d7b53 Follow ONE CFO: | Website: https://www.onecfoph.co | Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/onecfoph/ | LinkedIn: https://ph.linkedin.com/company/onecfo Follow PLDT: | Website: https://pldthome.com/ | Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PLDTHome/ | Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pldthome/ | TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@pldthome | LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/pldt/ Follow PAYMONGO: | Website: https://www.paymongo.com/ | Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/paymongo/ | Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/paymongo/ | LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/paymongo #Podcast #Hustleshare #OneCFO #PayMongo #PLDT #RonBaetiong #JamieAclan * * * Hosted on Acast.
