So today's episode, it's one that I've been really excited about because we are talking about something that I think so many of us want, but we don't necessarily know how to create it, and that is a peaceful home life.

Okay? Now, before you start thinking that I'm about to tell you how to have a spotless house where everyone wakes up at 6:00 AM, drinks their lemon water, does their morning routine without complaining, and then peacefully eats a homemade breakfast together, no.

Okay? That is not what we are doing here because I don't know how to create that kind of home.

Okay? Need I say more? There are days when I am surrounded by mounds of toddler toys, tripping and cursing the little Lego piece that I just stepped on.

Okay? I recently had a mini crash-out cleaning out my closet because I was so overstimulated by how stuffed full my closet was.

I am talking about a home that works for the people who live there, a home where there is some intentionality behind how you spend your time, how you communicate, how you contribute, connect, and move through everyday life.

The older that Everly gets, the more I'm just thinking about the atmosphere of our home and the culture of our family.

I think a lot of us spend a ton of time trying to kind of optimize our individual lives.

We're trying to do all the things, right? But what about the place where we're coming home to? What about the actual culture of our homes? What does it feel like to live there? And more importantly, what do we want it to feel like to live in our homes? Your family already has a culture, whether you've intentionally created one or not.

They have ways that they handle conflict, ways they spend their evenings, ways they celebrate things, ways they rest or don't rest, ways they divide up responsibilities, ways they respond when someone is having a bad day, ways that they spend their weekends, and all of these little repeated things become the culture of your family and the atmosphere of your home.
