144 - Two Headed Serpent - Snake Island - Salut

You limp in towards the airport in this shuddering wreck of a cockpit that's being held together with tape and nails and these alien anti-grav devices.

There are bits dropping off as you come into, let's call it, land.

Can there

still be the wheel, just the one wheel at the front? Absolutely.

And if I make an extreme piloting check, can I balance on the wheel?

And if it makes you happy.

Oh, success.

But no, no, that is not enough.

This is still very much a wreck of a plane and not a unicycle.

I'd spend 29 points of luck.

Yeah, speaking of luck...

Your luck isn't holding because you land where the others were.

Obviously, there's no sign of Bart or Jane, but also there's no sign of your belongings.

There's a tarpaulin lying on the ground and a few little scattered odds and ends that suggest that some of your belongings were here.

Can I roll up to see if one of those scattered odds and ends is an elephant gun? Oh, for God's sake.

Well, actually, either something terrible has happened, or Bart, maybe Jane, gathered all this together and put it somewhere safe.

What do you reckon?

Yeah, I think they're always the reasonable ones.

I think they've put it somewhere that it can't have anything go wrong.

I know it's going to be breaking the fourth wall and all, but if I could speak to the voice in the sky for a moment, I think when I failed that luck roll, I thought for sure we were going to crash into...

the half deranged device and we were and it was just going to end this oh crap the half

deranged device right let's uh right let's go find the warehouse where Bart and Gene stashed this stuff you said there was like a trail of stuff can I try and track it

yeah give me a tracking roll oh for

god's sake versus 10 22 I'll spend the 12 luck to make that a success

Don't forget to tick the box.
