Welcome to the inaugural episode of "Pitch a Podcast," where I, Dave Jackson, expose the world’s worst podcast pitches (because apparently, reading a show’s description is just too much to ask). Ever…
No entities detected.
Every single podcaster on the planet, doesn't matter the genre, the age, the whatever, they all want to deliver value to their audience.
And when you come up next to them and say, I've got an idea that will deliver value to your audience, they're going to give you their attention.
Woo! Now, how do you know if what you have is going to deliver value to their audience? Well, that means you're going to have to figure out who their audience is, which means you should probably listen to the show at least one episode.
You might even want to see, and this is a novel idea, that if you're pitching a guest, does the show actually do interviews? Hmm.
And you will stand out so far above all the other people that are doing what we call spray and pray.
Of course, you're not going to say which show because many of us, much like Lay's Potato Ships, we started one podcast and now we have four.
And then explain who your guest is and the topic they can talk about, again, that will deliver value to the audience.
You just have to go, this topic would deliver value to your audience and here's why.
And then explain how your guest, how you, or if you're an agency, how your client can deliver value to the audience.
