THE WEEKLY REPORT TO MADAME ROUGE MONDAY I was so glad you could make it to George's birthday last week.
While lively, to be sure, it would not have been the same without you.
The three of us go back such a long way.
George has not stopped talking about the stand you got him.
Both Miss Dormsguard and myself were kicking ourselves for not thinking of it.
It was the perfect thing to help George gain a little more mobility.
He has never complained about the need to mount him on a wall, he is a coat rack after all, but the beautiful carpentry work on the stand you gave him was gorgeous.

Of course, I would be remiss to tell you such a gift has not made George even more prone to wandering off the home's grounds.
At least, now, the orderlies have an idea of how he might be moving around.
Before this, his escapes were a source of utter befuddlement.
He is a sentient object, of course, but as one whose whole existence is predicated on being nailed to a wall, how he managed to move, much less traverse, so much of the countryside to the Aku Cemetery
was a profound mystery.
and still very much is.
If, if, mind you, I had to wager, I would say he is not piloting these escapes at all, but rather is getting help from a certain mischievous eye-patched shepherd, who shall not be named on the official record.
More good news.
With Abedabun back, we are heading straight into the co-manager interviews.
I will naturally make sure you are kept apprised of all the candidates we meet.

You will, however, notice one has already been crossed off.
Oyamakui Nokami.
His application was excellent.
His credentials in the spiritual, imperial, and causal were, well, all one could want.
Abedabun and I sat down with him for an interview here in the creature resources department, though in one of the back rooms for a little more privacy.
He had excellent answers to most questions, but he kept making the odd remark or two when saying how much he looked forward to adding better accommodations.
