Welcome to Horror Movie Club, the show where two dudes who are not quite nerds but not quite noobs choose a horror movie each week to rate and review.

I'm Brian.

I'm on the phone with Ashmin, and today we are discussing Let the Right One In from 2008, directed by Tomas Alfredson, written by John Lindqvist, starring Kåre Hedebrant, Lina Leandersson, Per Ragnar, and Peter Carlwal- Carlberg.

I probably mispronounced, I would guess, all those names.

[laughs]

In this film, a young bullied boy develops a friendship with a new girl in his neighborhood who, unbeknownst to him, just so happens to be a vampire.

If you're new to the show, we'll talk about the movie spoiler-free for the first 15 or 20 minutes, but after that we're gonna walk through the plot in detail, kind of reviewing and commenting on the film as we go.

So that's gonna be spoiler-rific.

But if you haven't seen it, you can hang out for the first 15 or 20, and then once we play that transition music, that's when you should duck out and go watch this movie.
