Prolapse is one of those words that can stop a woman in her tracks. And yet — when we actually sit with it, slow down, and listen to what it's telling us — it becomes one of the most powerful teachers…

And today, what I thought might be useful or interesting as something a little bit different is to share a little about what prolapse has taught me over the years, over and above what I've already shared and what you know, but just a little bit more about what it's taught me because I'm of the real belief that that challenging things that happen to us whilst in the moment just feel so life limiting and overwhelming and difficult to see a way through or opportunity beyond it.

But I think that often once we go through, we can actually learn a lot of lessons.

So I thought, why not? Why don't I just share a little bit about my lessons, if you like, what I've learned from prolapse, really what it's taught me over the years.

And if you haven't listened to them, I would urge you to go back and listen to all the June 2025 episodes.

Also, there's episode season four, episode 40, where we talk about tapestry or not tapestry.

One of the things I used to really believe was that tapestry Well, I still believe a pessary doesn't solve your prolapse, but it can really make you feel better.

So whilst before I think I was more discouraging for prolapse but when I've really looked into pessaries and looked into understanding the psychology and the impact on us as women having the symptoms of prolapse and how our body can, cellularly, how deep down our body can heal better if we mentally feel better.

I think that my perception has changed, making sure that we all understand that The PESA weight isn't going to solve whatever's causing the prolapse.

It's not going to do that, but it is going to make you feel better so that maybe you can then tackle the exercises and the restorative process whilst using that as a kind of buffer, if you like.

And I wouldn't say that's for everyone, but I would say that it's there as an opportunity for those of you that have tried all the different things up to that point.

So it's really interesting as I started to think about sharing with you in this episode what prolapse has taught me.

It's Not just what it's taught me in my own body and my own well-being, but it's also taught me such a lot about how it affects the whole of us as women.

over time and that was one of the things that really came up for me that I definitely started out with I think it's fair to say a bit of a bias around pessaries and part of that was because I had worked with many women who'd had really dreadful dreadful experiences with pessaries where perhaps they'd been poorly fitted or it was the wrong fit or the one that they tried didn't work and an alternative wasn't provided or that their tissue wasn't in an appropriate stage to be able to wear tissue.

So I'd had so many of those kind of experiences that I then that was where my bias was leaning to on top of the fact that I know that a pessary will hold the organs up but not solve the problem.

So perhaps the PEP survey could be really helpful to get that relief, to then do the exercises that are going to help you solve the problem that's causing the prolapse in the first place.
