And we've talked a little bit about hypertonic pelvic floor before in previous seasons, and today I'm gonna really dive deep and give you a physical example so that you can embed in this, this, um, different understanding.

Now, we're told all over the globe that you have to strengthen your pelvic floor.

I know I've talked about this and will continue to talk about this forever, but the idea I want you to have today is that to reconnect, because it, it's not just as simple as strengthening.

To reconnect it, to get it to work spontaneously, you have to first let it go.

What women are told, what we're all told, what I was told forever was squeeze it, lift it, hold it, engage it.

What I'm saying, instead of squeeze it, lift it, hold it, engage it, is to actually release it.

It's just that culturally we're putting all the pressure, all the blame, all the focus on the pelvic floor needing to squeeze and strengthen, and it just isn't that straightforward as you know.

So what I'm gonna share with you today is a little exercise that's gonna help you to really feel why that's important, why it will change everything for you.

Particularly those of you that have maybe been diagnosed with a hypertonic pelvic floor.

Maybe somebody's just said, "Oh, it's really tight," or maybe you're feeling proud that you have a tight clenched pelvic floor.

To understand this a little bit better, I'm gonna invite you to join in a little exercise with me.
