Today, I review Want to Know a Secret, by Frieda McFadden! Goodreads: Ellie Mano Instagram/TikTok: @hookofabook Email: hookofabookpodcast@gmail.com
I had not heard of this book once before reading it, and the only reason I actually picked it up in a bookstore over spring break in New Orleans was because I knew the author, Freda McFadden.
She wrote The Housemaid, which is genuinely one of my favorite thrillers ever, and I wanted to read more of her books because she has so many of them, but I've just never been able to find ones that actually looked really good.
Because Freda McFadden has written so many thrillers, I don't often see a ton of buzz for them except for the big ones like The Housemaid, and I feel like this one deserves way more hype.
It's not necessarily a reading slump because I've been reading every day, but I've been having trouble finding books that I want to stick with, and Want to Know a Secret might have done the trick to get me out of it.
If you're looking for a book that you can fly through that you'll really enjoy, I highly recommend Want to Know a Secret.
